PRODUCT NAME:
Valproic Acid Determination Kit (VPA Determination Kit)
Abbreviation: VPA
INTENDED USE:
Valproic Acid Determination Kit is an in vitro diagnostic test for the
quantitative detection of VPA in human serum and plasma specimens.
Valproic acid is a widely recognized broad-spectrum antiepileptic
drug, which is mainly used to treat various types of epileptic seizures,
including generalized tonic-clonic seizures, myoclonic seizures, and
petit mal. In addition, valproic acid can also be used for a variety of
psychiatric and neurological diseases, such as bipolar neuronal
disorder, schizophrenia, depression, neuralgia, migraine, Alzheimer's
disease and other neurological disorders. It is a broad-spectrum drug
and first-line drug for the clinical treatment of epilepsy. It is
frequently used clinically. However, due to the large differences in
the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of different individuals,
the dosage of valproic acid is difficult to control. In order to control
epileptic seizures, maximize the curative effect and reduce adverse
reactions, therapeutic drug monitoring is required during the clinical
application of valproic acid in the treatment of epilepsy.
