Cholinesterase(CHE) Determination Reagent is an in vitro diagnostic quantitative test kit. Low serum cholinesterase activity may relate toexposure to insecticides or to one of a number of variant genotypes. This test is used to evaluate preoperative patients for succinylcholine (suxamethonium) anesthetic sensitivity, genetic or secondary to insecticide exposure, in appropriate circumstances. It also can be used to monitor organophosphorous or carbamate insecticide poisoning, in which level is decreased.
