Apolipoprotein A1(APOA1) Determination Reagent(Latex Immunoturbidimetry) is an in vitro diagnostic quantitative test kit. This test can be used for diagnosis of coronary artery disease. Measurement of APOA1 may also aid in the diagnosis of Tangier disease (absence of alpha-lipoprotein). APOA1 comprises 60% to 70% of the protein content of HDL. APOA1 serves as an activator of LCAT which is involved in the transport of cholesterol from peripheral tissues to the liver where it is degraded.
