High-sensitivity Troponin I CLIA Kit

PRODUCT NAME:

Product Name: High-sensitivity Troponin I CLIA Kit (Chemiluminescence Immunoassay) Abbreviation: hs-cTnI

INTENDED USE:

High-sensitivity Troponin I CLIA Kit (Chemiluminescence Immunoassay) is an in vitro diagnostic test for the quantitative detection of Troponin I (cTnI) in human serum and plasma specimen. This product is intended to be used by laboratory professional workers only. This kit is used for auxiliary diagnosis. Results must be combined with clinical observations, patient history, other laboratory parameters, and epidemiological information for comprehensive analysis. Cardiac troponin I is a contractile protein that is found only in the myocardium. It is one of the three subunits of troponin complex (I, T, C), with a molecular weight of 19.8kD. It can combine with tropomyosin in the filaments of myofibrils to form actin. The level of cTnI in the myocardium (layer) is 13 times higher than in CK-MB and is not normally circulated in the blood, so the signal to noise ratio is more favorable for the detection of myocardial necrosis. Data from multiple studies have shown that troponin I levels (higher than cited values for non-AMI samples) are detectable within 3-6 hours after the onset of chest pain. Troponin I levels peak approximately 12-16 hours later and remain elevated for 4-9 days after AMI. These same studies demonstrated that peak cTnI concentrations occurred later in patients not receiving thrombolytic therapy
