Valproic Acid CLIA Kit

PRODUCT NAME:

Product Name: Valproic Acid CLIA Kit (Chemiluminescence Immunoassay) Abbreviation: VPA

INTENDED USE:

Valproic Acid CLIA Kit (Chemiluminescence Immunoassay) is an in vitro diagnostic test for the quantitative detection of Valproic Acid (VPA) in human serum and plasma specimen. This product is intended to be used by laboratory professional workers only. This kit is used for auxiliary diagnosis. Results must be combined with clinical observations, patient history, other laboratory parameters, and epidemiological information. Valproic acid is a recognized broad-spectrum antiepileptic drug, which is mainly used to treat various types of epileptic seizures, including generalized tonic-clonic seizures, myoclonic seizures, and petit mal. In addition, valproic acid can also be used for a variety of psychiatric and neurological diseases, such as bipolar neuronal disorder, schizophrenia, depression, neuralgia, migraine, Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders. It is a broad-spectrum drug and first-line drug for the clinical treatment of epilepsy. It is frequently used in clinical application. However, due to the large differences in the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of different individuals, the dosage of valproic acid is difficult to control. In order to exert the curative effect and reduce the adverse reactions, during the clinical application of valproic acid to treat epilepsy, it is necessary to monitor the therapeutic drug blood concentration.
