APPLICATION:

For the quantitative determination of cardiac fatty acid binding protein in human serum, plasma or whole blood.

HFABP has a molecular weight of 15 kDa and is a rich novel small cytoplasmic protein in the heart. After the onset of myocardial ischemic injury, HFABP can be found in the blood as early as 1-3 hours after the onset of chest pain, peaking at 6-8 hours and plasma levels returning to normal within 24-30 hours. HFABP is a great significance in the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction, myocardial injury and acute coronary syndrome (ACS), especially in the diagnosis of ACS with troponin.

PRCINCIPLE:

Take the sample to the strip, The HFABP in the specimen binds to the antibody coated with the fluorescent particles coated on the glass fiber to form a fluorescent particle-antibody-antigen complex.
