Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin Determination Reagent

Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin(NGAL) Determination Reagent(Latex Immunoturbidimetry) is an in vitro diagnostic quantitative test kit. The weight of NGAL molecular is about 25 kDa, covalently bound to neutrophil gelatinase. In the physiological state, NGAL is a growth factor, which is mainly involved in the development and growth of early renal epithelium.  The expression level is low in normal tissues including kidney, lung, stomach and colon epithelial tissues. In the course of ischemic and toxic renal injury, NGAL in renal tubular epithelial cells will be significantly increased, and the level of NGAL in urine and blood will increase accordingly within the first two hours. Therefore, NGAL is a sensitive marker of early acute renal injury and a marker reflecting renal function injury. It is suitable for the detection of chronic nephropathy (CKD), diabetic nephropathy, lupus nephropathy, IgA tubular interstitial injury, cardio-renal syndrome, etc.
