Apolipoprotein C2(APOC2) Determination Reagent(Immunoturbidimetry) is an in vitro diagnostic quantitative test kit. APOC2 is an exchangeable apolipoprotein that binds reversibly to the polar lipid surface of plasma lipoprotein particles in vivo and associates with a range of natural and synthetic lipid surfaces in vitro. Excess ApoC2 is associated with increased triglyceride-rich particles and alterations in HDL particle distribution. In a case-controlled study, ApoC2 concentration was higher in coronary heart disease group compared to control group and was associated with coronary heart disease presence after adjustment for cardiovascular risk factors.
