Mycoplasma Pneumoniae IgM(MP IgM) rapid test is an in vitro diagnostic test kit. This test can be used for the diagnosis of atypical pneumonia, which is a cause of communityacquired pneumonia. Primary infection usually occurs in children and reinfectionin adults is common. Results must be interpreted in light of each patient's historyphysical examination, and other diagnostic findings. Recent or acuteinfection can only be documented by a positive Mycoplasma lgM result and/or asignificant increase in the lgG value between sera drawn two to four weeks apart.
