FOB-TRF Combo Rapid Test (Colloidal Gold Assay) is an in vitro diagnostic test for the simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of fecal occult blood (FOB) and Fecal Transferrin (TRF) antigen in human stool specimen.
Fecal occult blood (FOB) examination is of great value in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal bleeding. It is used as an auxiliary diagnosis for gastrointestinal bleeding caused by gastrointestinal diseases such as colon polyps, colorectal cancer, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's virus. Transferrin (TRF) is a plasma protein used for iron ion transport. In people with high serum transferrin levels, a transferrin imbalance can have serious health consequences. Patients with elevated serum transferrin levels develop iron-deficiency anemia.
