APPLICATION:

For the quantitative detection of Prolactin (PRL) in human serum, plasma or whole blood. They are for professional use only.

Prolactin, a kind of protein hormone, is regulated by estrogen, progesterone and chorionic gonadotropin. PRL’s main function is to promote breast development and lactation. PRL increase is commonly in pituitary prolactinoma, primary hypothyroidism, premature ovarian failure and lutein hypofunction. PRL decrease is commonly in adenohypophysis ischemic necrosis, hypophysis hypofunction and pure prolactin deficiency.

PRCINCIPLE:

Take the sample to the strip, the PRL in the sample is bound to the antibody coated with the fluorescent particles coated on the glass fiber to form a fluorescent particle-antibody-antigen complex. The immune complex is further chromatographed along the nitrocellulose membrane to the detection zone (T), and combined with the pre-coated mouse anti-PRL monoclonal antibody, the fluorescence intensity is proportional to the PRL content in the sample, and the remaining fluorescent antibody particle is chromatographed to the QC zone (C) and bound to pre-coated goat anti-mouse IgG. If the sample does not contain PRL, the detection zone (T) will be blank.
