Serum Amyloid A Determination Kit is an in vitro diagnostic test
for the quantitative detection of SAA in human serum, plasma
and whole blood specimens.
Serum amyloid A (SAA) is an acute reaction protein secreted by
hepatocytes. It binds to high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and is the
precursor of tissue amyloid A. Similar to CRP, it is used to
evaluate the acute reaction process.
